How to Publish Your First AI Tool: From Chat to Cash in Minutes

Got a tool sitting in your Claude artifacts or ChatGPT chat? Let's turn it into your first income stream. Here's exactly how to publish your tool on Xenyyo.

Before You Start: What You Need

  • Your tool's code as a single file (HTML or React TSX/JSX)
  • 10 minutes of your time
  • A Xenyyo account (free to create)

Step 1: Get Your Code Into a File

Getting your code ready (Claude, ChatGPT, v0.dev, CodePen, JSFiddle):

Most AI tools let you download or copy your code directly:

  • Download option available? Save as .html or .tsx file — you're ready!
  • Copy only? Paste into any text editor and save as .html or .tsx

That's it. Your file is ready to upload.

Pro tip: Name your file descriptively. calculator.html or dashboard.tsx is better than untitled-1.html. Good names help Xenyyo's AI understand your tool faster.

Note: Currently, Xenyyo supports single-file tools. If your project has multiple files, combine them into one HTML file or export a single TSX/JSX component. Multi-file support is coming soon!

Step 2: Upload & Let AI Do the Work

Now the magic happens:

  1. Go to your Dashboard and click "Publish Tool"
  2. Drag and drop your file (or click to browse)
  3. Wait 8-17 seconds while Xenyyo's AI analyzes your code

What's happening during analysis:

Our AI runs a 3-layer analysis system:

  • Layer 0 - Quality Gate:Checks if your tool is complete and functional (needs 7/10 on all criteria)
  • Layer 1 - Classification:Identifies what your tool does, suggests category, detects tech stack
  • Layer 2 - Listing Generation:Writes your product description, suggests pricing, creates tags

All automatic. You don't configure anything. The AI reads your code and creates a professional listing.

Step 3: Review Your Auto-Generated Listing

After analysis, you'll see a complete listing preview. Here's what Xenyyo created for you:

Title & Description

The AI writes these based on what your code does. Edit if you want, but the AI usually nails it.

Category & Tags

Auto-assigned based on functionality. Leave them or adjust.

Pricing

AI suggests pricing based on complexity and category. You have full control to change it.

  • • Minimum: $5
  • • Typical range: $10-50
  • • Complex tools: $50-100+

Bundle Options

  • Essential Bundle: Your base price (what you set)
  • Pro Bundle: Automatically 2.5x Essential price—includes commercial license, pro docs, deployment guides

You choose if you want to offer Pro. Enable it before publishing if you do.

Step 4: Complete & Customize Your Listing

The auto-generated listing is almost ready. Here's what to finalize:

Add Your Creation Story (Required):

This field isn't auto-filled—it's your chance to share how you built this tool with AI. Did you start with a problem at work? A weekend experiment? A "what if" conversation with Claude?

Your creation story adds authenticity and inspires other creators. Buyers love knowing the human behind the tool. A simple paragraph works: "I built this because I was tired of manually calculating shipping costs for my Etsy shop. Asked ChatGPT to help, and 30 minutes later, this existed."

Expand Description (Optional):

Add use cases, examples, or specific problems it solves.

Adjust Pricing (Optional):

Trust the AI suggestion, or set your own based on your tool's value.

Enable/Disable Pro Bundle (Optional):

Decide if you want to offer a Pro version at 2.5x your Essential price. Pro adds:

  • • Commercial license (auto-generated by Xenyyo)
  • • Professional documentation
  • • Advanced deployment guides
  • • 8 additional AI customization prompts (12 total vs 4 in Essential)

Most creators enable Pro—it's a significant value add for buyers who need commercial licensing.

Step 5: Publish & Go Live

Hit "Publish" and celebrate. Your tool is now:

  • Live on the marketplace with its own professional page
  • Searchable by anyone browsing Xenyyo
  • Ready to sell with instant checkout
  • Earning you 77% of every purchase

What Happens After Someone Buys?

Everything runs automatically:

For the Buyer:

  • • Instant web access with secure token (lifetime access)
  • • Source code download
  • • 4-12 AI customization prompts (depending on bundle)
  • • Professional documentation (Pro only)
  • • Deployment guides (Pro only)
  • • Commercial license (Pro only)
  • • If your tool uses Claude/OpenAI APIs: 50 free API calls included

For You:

  • • Money in your account (77% of sale price)
  • • Dashboard update showing the sale
  • • Nothing else—Xenyyo delivers everything automatically

You literally do nothing. No customer support setup, no file delivery, no license generation. It's all handled.

What If My Code Needs Work?

Sometimes the AI catches problems before you publish. Common ones:

"Incomplete functionality"

Fix: Go back to your AI assistant and ask it to complete any TODO sections

Why it matters: Buyers expect working tools

"No clear purpose"

Fix: Add comments explaining what the tool does, or make the UI more obvious

Why it matters: If AI can't figure it out, buyers won't either

"Requires server/database"

Fix: These tools don't work on Xenyyo yet (see our blog on what you can sell)

Why it matters: Browser-based tools only

"Too simple"

Fix: Add features or combine with other functionality

Why it matters: $5 minimum exists because simpler tools don't justify marketplace overhead

Most issues are easy fixes. The AI tells you exactly what's wrong.

For People Comfortable with Code

If you know your way around development, maximize your tool's potential:

Single-File Best Practices:

  • • Embed CSS and JavaScript directly in your HTML file
  • • For React tools, export a single TSX/JSX component with all logic included
  • • Include helpful comments explaining customization points
  • • Add error handling and edge cases
  • • Test thoroughly before uploading

Maximize Value:

  • • Enable Pro Bundle for commercial licensing
  • • Write a compelling Creation Story
  • • Price based on time saved, not time spent building

Coming Soon:

Multi-file project support is on our roadmap. For now, single-file tools with embedded styles and scripts work perfectly.

Pricing Strategy: What Should You Charge?

Quick guidelines:

  • $5-15: Simple utilities, single-feature tools, niche helpers
  • $16-35: Multi-feature tools, productivity savers, professional use
  • $36-100+: Complex dashboards, business-critical tools, time-saving automation

Remember: Buyers compare against hiring someone to build it ($500-5000) or building it themselves (hours of work). Your $30 tool is a steal.

Your First Sale Won't Take Long

Once published, your tool works 24/7. Someone searching for exactly what you built will find it.

Timeline reality check:

  • First 24 hours: Usually quiet (people need to discover it)
  • First week: If your tool solves a real problem, expect interest
  • First month: Most tools get their first sale within 30 days

Speed it up:

  • • Share your tool link on relevant communities (Reddit, Twitter, niche forums)
  • • Add it to your email signature
  • • Tell people solving that specific problem

Every sale puts 77% of the price in your pocket. If nothing sells, you owe nothing. Zero risk.

The Bottom Line

Publishing your first tool isn't just about making money (though that's great). It's about joining the AI-assisted creator economy.

You built something useful. Someone needs it. Xenyyo connects you two and handles everything in between.

Your tool matters. Publish it.

Ready to publish?

Your tool could make its first sale this week. Upload, review the AI-generated listing, and go live. It takes 10 minutes.
